When using OKRs, there are a few common pitfalls that can get in the way of successfully accomplishing your objectives. Setting too many objectives or key results. If everything is a priority, then nothing is. We talk more about frameworks for this and some of our other courses about prioritization that to achieve excellence with your goals, you should do less and obsess and ruthlessly prioritize setting ambitious key results that aren't balanced.

When going for goal, there are some potential bad side effects that a counterbalance might help with. And finally, what we call the set it and forget it pitfall. Like a New Year's resolution enthusiastically made and then never looked at again. Creating your goals is the first step, but the magic is in how you weave it into everyday conversations with your team.
