It's been said that structure liberates and there's perhaps nowhere that this is more readily apparent. And in creating role clarity, which is one of the most important aspects of a successful high performing team. When everyone on a team knows who is responsible for what and how their responsibilities contribute to achieving the team's goals, people are able to focus on bringing the best of their knowledge, skills and energy to their work. That imagine being part of a team where everyone knows exactly what they're supposed to do.

It's like a perfectly choreographed dance where each member moves in sync with the others without bumping into one another or stepping on one another's toes, or a beautiful orchestra. With each musician having a crystal clear understanding of the music, their part and others part so that they can play with gusto. Creating powerful aligned performances. That's the power of role, clarity, role.

Clarity is especially important in ever shifting environments and contexts where there is a high degree of volatility or uncertainty. Having the scaffolding that role clarity provides means that if things change or let's be honest, when things change, your team can navigate that volatility in more resilient and adaptive ways. I'm Sage Catlett. Senior Facilitation Lead. And I believe in the power of role, clarity and helping individuals and teams thrive.
