In order to properly manage our stress, first we have to get familiar with how we personally respond to different types of stress. Now we're going to walk through an exercise in truly being aware of and seeing our patterns and our habits related to stress. How do you respond to stress? And pressure is often shaped by your experience and the mechanisms that you've developed along the way.

Beginning in the earliest years of your life. So, for example, do you tend to avoid stress or do you approach them? You tend to internalize stress with the inner directed behavior. Like this is mine to figure out and I have to deal with it.

Or you tend to externalize and direct your stress outwardly, hoping that others will deal with the problem for you. The question I want you to think about is this. How do I over rely on these defense mechanisms I have developed in order to deal with stress and pressure?
